FREE Conference: Are you a family member, friend or caregiver of someone diagnosed with serious mental illness?

"Developing Resilience"

Keynote Presenter: Robin Eubanks, PhD

Associate Professor, Dept. of Interdisciplinary Studies, School of Health Professions,  Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey

Are you a family member, friend or caregiver of someone diagnosed with serious mental illness who struggles to maintain your wellness in your caregiving role? This FREE conference will focus on what you can do to remain optimistic, motivated, and resilient when coping with the illness of your loved one.
Resilience is a process, with gradual discovery of personal and unique abilities, rather than a trait, or characteristic, and is vital to one’s wellness enhancement and maintenance. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn new methods to better manage your own stress, and recognize opportunities during which you may build your resilience!

Conference Objectives:

  • Present information on resilience
  • Explore strategies that family members can utilize to reinforce their own psychological resilience
  • Offer practical advice on how to effectively support a loved one with mental illness
  • Provide a forum for family members and consumers to network

Family and Consumer Feedback Forum

Hear from a panel of family members and consumers as they discuss their stories of resilience, their experiences of various challenges, lessons learned along the way, and their processes of successful adaptation to life’s tasks in the face of numerous adverse conditions!
