Maxim Healthcare Services provides services to youth ages 3-21 and their families. Maxim offers Intensive In-Community Therapy (IIC) either individual or family. IIC is a short term intensive service focusing on a specific issue. Services are provided where the family feels it would be most convenient for them. Behavioral Assistance is a clinical,. therapeutic service developed to assist youth with learning how to decrease negative behaviors and replace them with positive behaviors based on the youths strengths. A Behavioral Assistant can not be delivered without a therapist in place. Behavioral Assistant services are short term. Our Nurturing Parent Curriculum is a family-centered initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglecting parenting and child-rearing practices. The long term goals are to prevent recidivism in families receiving social services, lower the rate of multi-parent teenage pregnancies, reduce the rate of juvenile delinquency and alcohol abuse, and stop the intergenerational cycle of child abuse by teaching positive parenting behaviors. The programs feature activities to foster positive parenting skills and self-nurturing, home practice exercises, family nurturing time, and activities to promote positive brain development in children birth to 18 years. All referrals for our services at Maxim must come through Perform Care, Mobile Response, or the CMO.
