DDD Transition to Adult Services and Intake Process (NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities)
We welcome and encourage individuals and their families to attend one of our monthly Transition Thursday Webinars:
Transition Thursdays: DDD Transition to Adult Services & Intake Process
Second Thursday (Intake Process & Transition Resources) 6:00 - 7:30 PM

Join us for the Division of Developmental Disabilities Transition and Intake webinar. This session will review steps that can be taken as you prepare for transition out of school and/or the Children’s System of Care. We will also share information outlining the eligibility criteria for DDD and guide you through the steps of the intake process. We’ll cover topics such as how to obtain an application, required clinical documentation, and the completion of the NJCAT assessment. Whether you are just beginning the journey or are currently in the intake process, this webinar will provide insight and the answers you are looking for. Time will be allotted for questions at the end.
Topic of the Month: Overview of the New Jersey Transition Toolkit
Third Thursday, 12:00 - 1:00 PM
Please join us as the New Jersey Office of Special Education provides an overview of the New Jersey Transition Toolkit. This tool is designed to assist school staff and students with disabilities and their families in their efforts to prepare students for entry into a successful adult life after high school. By the end of this presentation, participants should be able to navigate the NJ Transition Toolkit and be familiar with the important and useful information available on the website about transition for students with disabilities.
