Welcome to the 2023 Annual NAMI NJ Dara Axelrod Expressive Arts Poetry Contest challenge. This year we will be exploring all things Joy related. What is Joy? How does Joy feel? How does it smell? Does it look inviting?...You tell us.

Our host, Jacquese Armstrong, has weighed in on the challenge with a poem called “revelation.” You can listen to it here.

Theme: Joy

Guidelines:

• Poem should be in keeping with the theme.
• Poem must be typewritten. Please send a Word Document (no PDF files).
• Poem should be no longer than 40 lines.
• Must complete the media release form to accompany your entry.
• Provide a cover letter that includes your name, e-mail, mailing address and phone number.
• Contest submission deadline is April 3, 2023.
• Contest open only to domestic applicants with a U.S. mailing address.
