As part of its responsibility to protect the health and safety of more than 860,000 residents of Middlesex County, the Middlesex County Office of Health Services has been implementing the Local Information Network and Communication System to provide emergency information throughout our communities. Examples of the information received and distributed range from food recalls, COVID-19 reports, and communicable disease outbreaks to alerts from the Office of Counter-Terrorism and the Centers for Disease Control. This emergency notification system is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.
