NJ Healthy Families- TIP Program

The TIP Program is a home visitation program that offers in home parenting support to expectant and new parents receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to help improve their parenting skills. TIP creates a training plan that best suits each parent's situation, providing them with guidance on good nutrition, available medical and child care services, resume writing, job interview skills and more.

NJ Housing Assistance: Family Self-Sufficiency

Assists participants in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program toward becoming self-sufficient and self-reliant through the implementation of a jointly developed action plan.   Rental assistance is provided to families who agree to participate in a series of job training, career counseling, education and social service programs.

NJ Housing Assistance: Homelessness Prevention

Provides limited financial assistance to low- and moderate-income tenants in imminent danger of eviction due to temporary financial problems beyond their control.  Funds are used to disburse payments in the forms of loans and grants to landlords on behalf of eligible households in danger of homelessness.

NJ Housing Assistance: Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher

The Section 8 Housing Voucher Program assists in making safe and quality housing in the private rental market affordable to low, and very low-income households by reducing housing costs through direct rent subsidy payments to landlords. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

NJ Lead-Safe Home Remediation Pilot Program

The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is pleased to announce the Lead-Safe Home Remediation (LSHR) Pilot Program. The purpose of the program is to identify and remediate lead-based paint hazards via interim controls to prevent elevated blood lead levels in children and pregnant women.

NJ Relay & Captel

New Jersey Relay is a no-cost service to enable people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind or have a Speech Disability to make and receive phone calls.
