Dr. Brian Carl Quinones, Ed.D., LPC, RPT-S, AutPlay certified, BC-TMH, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, and Founder of TherapyInPlay / Gaming Approaches Toward Education (GATE) in Metuchen, NJ. He has worked in the field since 2005.

His primary focus is supporting other clinicians. He provides clinical supervision for LACs working toward licensure, supervision for play therapists and RPT-track clinicians, and consultation for therapists using play therapy, gaming-informed therapy, and AutPlay-informed care. He also consults on autism, ADHD, neurodiversity, and complex child, teen, and family cases.

Through supervision and consultation, he helps clinicians strengthen case conceptualization, family-systems thinking, emotional regulation, and engagement, applying tabletop games, roleplay, narrative therapy, CBT, and structured play in clinically meaningful ways, matching method to the case.

Dr. Quinones has limited openings for direct therapy. He welcomes supervision and consultation inquiries and can route therapy referrals to the TherapyInPlay / GATE team, where families are matched with a clinician who fits their needs.
