New Jersey Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative (NJPPC)

The New Jersey Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative (NJPPC) is a statewide, DCF grant-funded program available for children, adolescents, and young adults up to the age of 21 who are under the care of their pediatric primary care provider (PCP). This program is available free of cost. Participating pediatric care providers like pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, family medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants can consult with NJPPC Hub’s mental health professionals, including Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists (CAPs).  If you are a pediatric care provider and are interested in joining the NJPPC, please scroll below to the county you work in and note the corresponding phone number. Please call one of our offices, and one of our liaisons will be in touch to get you connected and registered!

Families - ask YOUR pediatrician if they are a participating provider in the NJPPC!

Since 2015, the NJPPC has provided free consultative support to pediatric primary care providers for addressing children with mental health and substance abuse issues statewide. The NJPPC’s Regional Hubs provide timely access to psychiatric consultation. The NJPPC also facilitates referrals for patients to access ongoing mental health care in the community.

The NJPPC is designed to educate pediatric care providers on mental health care, help them screen for and identify mental health concerns, and get timely access to a consultation with a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (CAP). NJPPC membership includes ongoing collaboration with mental health professionals (including CAPs) and support with early identification and care management of mental health concerns, including referrals to mental health resources in the community. The NJPPC offers a variety of continuing education opportunities with CME credit for members to feel more confident and comfortable addressing the mental health needs of their patients.
